I read your article on Medium; no one should have to go through what you went through. I wish you had never been put into this kind of position, but appreciate that you shared what happened. White supremacy grips peoples minds so tightly that fighting back like you did took guts, and I hope you weren’t alone in that fight. It sounds like you weren’t, and I hope that’s true.

And I hope the rest of us do more to make the kind of fights you have to engage in a relic, so they’re no longer an everyday reality.
